FUNDING FOR INTERNATIONAL PHD/DOCTORAL STUDENTS FOR 2015-16

Please find below information about key centrally funded/managed scholarship programmes at King’s for International PhD/doctoral students for the 2015-16 academic year[1].

Ø  King’s Accession Scholarship

One scholarship will be offered for a Turkish domiciled postgraduate research student wishing to undertake a PhD/doctoral programme in any discipline at King’s. Applications are invited from students who are due to commence their PhD studies in 2015-16.

Ø  King’s South East Asia Scholarship

One scholarship will be offered for a South Korean, Japanese, Thai or Malaysian domiciled postgraduate research student wishing to undertake a PhD/doctoral programme at King’s. Applications are invited from students who are due to commence their PhD studies in 2015-16.

Ø  King’s-China Scholarship Council PhD Scholarship Programme

For 2015-16, King’s will be co-funding 10 scholarships as part of the King’s-China Scholarship Council PhD Scholarship programme. Applications who are due to commence their PhD studies in 2015-16, and those who are currently in their first year of their PhD studies are eligible to apply.

Deadline for applicants is 30 January 2015

Ø  Graduate School International Research Studentship (NMS)

One PhD studentship is available for postgraduate research students studying in the Faculty of Natural & Mathematical Sciences. Applications are invited from students who are due to commence their PhD studies in 2015/16. The 3.5 year doctoral studentship comprises fee payment and an annual stipend.

All applicants who have submitted an admissions application by 1 March and who met the basic eligibility criteria will be considered for this scholarship.

Ø  King’s India Scholarship

One scholarship will be offered for an Indian domiciled postgraduate research student wishing to undertake a PhD/doctoral programme within the Faculty of Natural & Mathematical Sciences King’s. Applications are invited from students who are due to commence their PhD studies in 2015-16.

All applicants who have submitted an admissions application by 1 March 2015 and who meet the basic eligibility criteria will be considered for this scholarship.

Ø  King’s-HKU Joint PhD Scholarship

One scholarship will be offered for a Singapore domiciled postgraduate research student wishing to undertake a joint PhD/doctoral programme between King’s and the University of Hong Kong; this includes joint programmes within the departments of Mathematics and Physics. Applications are invited from students who are due to commence their PhD studies in 2015-16.

All applicants who have submitted an admissions application by 1 March 2015 and who meet the basic eligibility criteria will be considered for this scholarship.
